Ozone water, also known as aqueous ozone (AO) is made of just water and electricity. It’s been used successfully as a sanitizer in hospitals and industrial applications for over 90 years. Ozone water consists of three loosely bound oxygen atoms that readily give up an oxygen ion to react and oxidize (aka KILL) 99.99% of some of the most harmful pathogens. After, it just returns to pure oxygen and water!
Ozone molecules in water simply contain one extra, unstable oxygen atom.
The extra oxygen atom detaches from the other two - and destroys the cell wall of germ or virus when contact is made - killing it!
The ozone molecule is now back to being good, ole' fashioned oxygen! (O2)
